DESCRIPTION:The historic bed and breakfast in Rustico welcomes composer/pianist Leo Marchildon along with singers Rebekah Brown\, Julia Cerisano and James Ronahan as they present 2 Sunday afternoon “soirées” recalling the recitals of poetry and song held during Montgomery’s times\nand so vividly described in her Anne books. Music includes selections from the various musicals inspired by Montgomery’s writings\, including “Anne of Green Gables” \, “Anne & Gilbert” and “The Nine Lives of L.M. Montgomery”. \nIsland redhead Rebekah Brown has performed in Anne & Gilbert for 5 seasons now\, this past one playing Anne Shirley herself! Montreal born / Island raised soprano Julia Cerisano took on the role of Josie Pye in this year’s Anne & Gilbert following many years of\nstage experience. Island born baritone James Ronahan has been singing publicly for 13 years and is currently studying voice at UPEI. Performances start at 2:30 pm. High tea to follow.
