DESCRIPTION:This event is now cancelled due to the weather. \nYou are invited to come and watch some of PEI’s wonderful artists at this plein air event. This the third in a series of five\, each with its own particular location and theme. To celebrate Montgomery’s 150th birthday\, each event offers some of her words to inspire the artists. The theme for this event is landscapes and nature. Artists have two hours to finish their artwork and you get to choose which one you like best. You can also purchase some beautiful art for your home or cottage. Treats and background music are on offer for artists and spectators. \nToday’s inspiration: \nThere is great solitude about such a shore.  The woods are never solitary – they are full of whispering\, beckoning\, friendly life.  But the sea is a mighty soul\, forever moaning of some great\, unshareable sorrow\, which shuts it up into itself for all eternity. … The woods call to us in a hundred voices\, but the sea has one only – a mighty voice that drowns our souls in its majestic music.  The woods are human\, but the sea is of the company of angels. \nThe Complete Journals of L.
