Kindred Spirits Book Arts Exhibition and Reception

We are pleased to invite you to our Kindred Spirits Reception on Friday, June 21st from 6 – 8pm, at Confederation Court Mall. In partnership with Bookmark and the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild, the Kindred Spirits reception is truly a love letter in multiple mediums to Lucy Maud Montgomery.
Join us for an evening celebrating the life and works of author L.M. Montgomery through book and literary art.
This event opens the Kindred Spirits Book Arts Exhibition, a showcase of book artistry. The juried exhibition of 37 hand-crafted pieces by members of CBBAG pays homage to the life and literary contributions of Lucy Maud Montgomery. Barbara Clark Helander, Kindred Spirits’ Coordinator, will speak on the exhibition’s curation.
In collaboration with Bookmark, author Carolyn Strom Collins, will present her latest book The Blue Castle: The Original Manuscript. Available for the first time, the novel is the original draft by L. M. Montgomery, offering fascinating new insight into the writing process of one of Canada’s most beloved writers.
