A retelling of LM Montgomery’s eyewitness account of the wreck of the Marco Polo in 1883, her writings and her time in Stanley Bridge.
Join Phillip Gallant, son of Tommy Gallant who discovered the shipwreck of Marco Polo in later years, retell the history of the Marco Polo with genuine artifacts. Learn how it came to lay to rest in the waters of the Cavendish shores
Leon Gallant, also son of Tommy Gallant, will entertain you with shipwreck and seafaring songs and story telling of old. Leon and Phillip will review the significance Stanley Bridge held for Maud during her life on Prince Edward Island.
During the evening enjoy a sampling of Maud’s favourite foods mentioned in her writings. A walk down memory lane through the eyes of LM Montgomery.
